Aunt Elsie's Chocolate Snips

Those thin, crisp chocolate cookies with almonds are our new favorite cookies.

Everyone loves chocolate cookies, but chocolate snips?

Yes it's chocolate SNIPS, not SNAPS....

What are chocolate snips?

I was very confused also, the first time I saw this recipe..I thought it was misspelled.

So what are they? It's a big giant cookie, broken up. Instead of making cookies individually, spread the dough out onto a baking sheet, to create a big giant sheet of cookie.

And when you eat it, you SNIP it off!

This is great fun, especially if you have small children!

You can also add orange peels, mint candies (broken into pieces), and even chocolate chips if you like it really chocolaty, yummy!

Ingredients

  • 75 g unsalted butter

  • 100 g dark chocolate chips

  • 1 egg
